Natural Ayurvedic Home Remedies for Toenail Fungus

Toenail Fungus
  • Toe nail fungus is fungal infection around the toenail
  • It is caused by a fungi called dermatophytes
  • This fungi feeds on keratin present on our nail surface

  • Wearing socks and shoes for long periods of time provides warm and moist environment for growth of the fungi

  • Nail may crumble and fall off
Simple techniques
  1. Natural home remedy using turmeric powder

    1. Take 3 tsp turmeric powder
    2. Add some water to make a paste
    3. Mix well
    4. Apply on the affected area
    5. Wash off after 30 min
    6. Do this 3 times a dayYou can also use ginger or garlic paste in place of turmeric paste as these have anti-microbial properties.
  2. Natural home remedy using potato

    1. Crush a washed and peeled potato
    2. Apply the paste on the affected area
    3. Leave it overnight
    4. Wrap a cloth around the affected area to hold the paste
  3. Natural home remedy using vinegar

    1. Fill a tub with warm water, enough to soak your feet
    2. Add 1 cup vinegar
    3. Soak feet for 20 min
    4. Wipe toenails and toes properly with a dry towel
    5. Follow it up by wiping with a soft tissue
    6. Do this 2 times everyday
  • Wash and dry feet thoroughly after using any public showers, spas etc.
