Post Pregnancy Exercise for Upper Body

Cobra Pose
The posture of this exercise reflects a cobra with its hood raised. It helps to relief the body muscles that suffer due to:
  • Excess weight gained during pregnancy 
  • Post pregnancy stress
  • Relives the discomfort from neck, back & the abdomen
  • Uplifts the mood
  • Releases one from anxiety or depression
Simple techniques
    1. Lie on your stomach on a non slip yoga mat
    2. Make sure that your feet are together and your hands are placed next to your chest
    3. Using your hands, raise your upper body off the floor
    4. Feel the stretch in the lower back
    5. The buttocks should not raise off the floor
    6. Hold for 4 counts
    7. Return to starting position
    8. Repeat this 10 times
  • Avoid exercising empty stomach
