Nose bleed are fairly common, particularly in children. It can be caused due to various factors like – extreme temperatures, allergies, etc.

Nose bleeding may occur due to several reasons such trauma to the nose, extreme temperature and weather changes, elevated blood pressure in the blood vessels of the nostrils, blood thining drugs and more.
It is mainly classified into two types, anterior nosebleeds and posterior nosebleeds. Anterior nosebleeds occur from a blood vessel at the very front part of the nose and are usually easy to control.
Posterior nosebleeds on the other hand tend to occur more from an artery in the back part of the nose and require medical attention from an otolaryngologist.
The bleeding is caused when the delicate blood vessels inside the nose rupture It’s a very common condition amongst children
