Health Conditions: Tooth Decay

Tooth enamel is the hard outer layer of the teeth which is responsible for its protection.
A poor oral hygiene can lead to accumulation of bacteria & formation of sticky acidic film of plaque on the teeth. This plaque corrodes the tooth enamel & results in cavities. This condition is referred to as tooth decay.
If left untreated, this condition can lead to pain, infection in the teeth and ultimately tooth loss.
