How To Massage A Baby

Simple techniques
  1. Moisten your palms with a mild baby oil
  2. Rub the oil in between your palms to make sure it is a little warm before you apply it on the baby
  3. Start with the baby's shoulders & work your way down
  4. Rub oil gently on the chest
  5. Make gentle light circular motions across her tummy
  6. Continue down the baby's arms, hands and fingers; each finger at a time, very gently
  7. Finally, you come to her legs; rubbing her thighs, knees and feet - once again, each toe at a time
  8. Rub the baby's ears very gently
  9. You may now carefully turn your baby on her tummy
  10. And repeat the same movements
  • Do not massage oil on baby's face
  • Avoid massaging when baby is too hungry or too full
  • Warm room with mild lighting is ideal
  • Perform patch test before using the oil for massage
  • Choose oil as per the weather
  • Make eye to eye contact with the baby
