Abrasion:

• Abrasion refers to the damage to the upper layer of the skin

• It occurs when a friction force is applied on the skin

Symptoms to look for:

• Abrasion can be painful and can cause bleeding

Causes:

• Rubbing of skin against a rough surface

• Occurs if body is thrown strongly against an object 

• Children often get scratches while playing

Natural home remedy using aloe vera: 

1. Remove the thorns and outer skin of aloe vera leaves

2. Extract gel from inside

3. Apply this gel on the abrasion

4. Let it stay on the skin

5. Repeat this 3 times a day

Natural home remedy using turmeric:

1. Turmeric is an effective antiseptic

2. Take ½ tsp turmeric powder

3. Add a little water

4. Mix well to make a paste

5. Clean the abrasion with cotton

6. Apply turmeric paste on it

7. Allow it to dry on the skin

8. Do not cover the wound

9. Repeat this 3 times a day

• Clove powder may also be used instead of turmeric

Natural home remedy using milk and turmeric:

1. Take 1 cup of warm milk

2. Add ½ tsp of turmeric in it

3. Drink this every day

4. It strengthens the immune system and speeds up the healing process
